Tulsi hydrosol is a favorite around here. This sacred herb is also known as Holy Basil and in Ayurvedic medicine it is considered a Rasayana herb, meaning it is a plant that promotes health, harmony, and long life. Tulsi is known in herbalism to be adaptogenic, reducing feelings of stress while promoting feelings of calm and contentedness. Another great hydrosol for all skin types as it revitalizes and calms skin, while energizing the soul.
We use hydrosols daily after washing, before moisturizing, combined with serums for deep hydration, as a make up setter and then a refresher throughout the day, and even combined with honey or your favorite clay mask for a weekly skincare treat. Tulsi (Holy Basil) Hydrosol
Tulsi hydrosol has a light pink hue to it. It is also common to see small copper particles at the bottom of this hydrosol. Our hydrosols are distilled in copper alembic stills and basils (such as Tulsi) react with the copper in such a way that the hydrosol takes on some of the copper. As the hydrosol ages the copper precipitates out and gathers at the bottom. This is color and precipitate is natural and an indicator of a quality, copper distilled hydrosol from the basil family.
